Description
This model depicts the anatomy of the Swan variation of a left atrial appendage with a patent foramen ovale. This is a condition where an appendage has developed on the left atrium. This rare bit of pathology was segmented by CT imagery, and is an excellent anatomical reference. Since it is printed in a compliant material it can also be used to test medical devices and practice surgical techniques inside of atypical anatomy.
This model is 3D printed on top of the line polyjet 3D printers. Due to this the material is recreated with the highest dimensional accuracy and compliant materials.
