Robert “Tres” Sims

Tres Sims is co-founder and Chief Information Officer of DASH. Tres has spent his life studying automation and computer graphics technologies. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in experimental animation with a minor in computer science. He began working at  UCF’s Prototype Development and 3D Print Laboratory where he developed workflow tools to help design patient-specific devices for 3D printing and custom simulations to help with preoperative planning and visualization. At DASH, Tres’s role has evolved into developing software for pre-surgical planning, as well as web portals for the ordering and accessibility of patient-specific devices.
